I went to my local quilt store to get inspired today & I almost came home & tried to call dibs on Kansas.  They had a Dorothy fabric that was hilarious!  Smiley  And several flamingo fabrics for Florida.  I may have to get one of my girl friends to send me some fabric from California, though.   Tongue

I see there are several more people signed up now, tho, so yay!  Smiley

I was checking out the blocks that folks did for the first 50 State Swap and I'm really excited to get to work on my blocks.  I've already been looking online to get ideas for fabrics that will work for my nifty states!!!

After looking at the gallery for the first round of this swap I may cave and sign-up, but I have to figure out some things before I do.

Only 3 more spots!!

I already got my fabric for PA since I saw it and was real excited...it's perfect!

I just want to let everyone know that I will be on vacation starting tommorrow evening until July 19.  So, if anyone else signs up, I may not be super quick in approving.  I will still have the internet...I just won't be spending all day online like I normally do...lol.  Smiley

I am so excited about this swap, I have been wanting to do more quilt blocks lately but wasn't totally inspired until I saw this swap!! I'm going to see what I can find today at our Hobby Lobby for the 3 states I have - I know what I'm looking for it's just a matter of if they have it! This is going to be such a neat finished project - it may be one I hang in my living room!

Hobby Lobby has great state fabric...I actually got my PA one there and the fabric of what I'm going to use as the background/maybe border (if it needs a border...).

Unfortunately the craft stores near me didn't have a great selection of novelty fabrics so I had to order online.  I'm expecting my fabric sometime this week and then I can get started!

I didn't make it to Hobby Lobby yesterday.  Sad  Oh well I guess I'll just have to go tomorrow or Saturday! I have decided what to use for New Mexico and I'm quite excited about it! I'm still debating on Kansas  (I was born & raised here) because there are a couple things I would like to do but I haven't found the perfect fabric yet. I also decided what to do for Washington state - something a little different but totally perfect! I am so excited about this!!
