Ok ok fine, I'm in. My husband thinks its a cool idea so that was really the deciding factor! Still hope we get more sign ups though. But then again, shipping costs to only 4 people would be nice.  Wink

I'm fine with extending signups for more people.  Smiley

As for misrepresenting, I think that's part of the fun is learning something about the states you don't know much about.  Like...North Dakota anyone?  Wink

In addition to Western US, I could also do Alabama or Colorado.  Smiley  My parents move around a lot.

I am really interested in this swap... I'm just not sure I can make the send out time. It's a fabulous idea though Smiley

Well if we extend signups, the sendout date will also be extended. Smiley  How much time you guys think we need to make the blocks?  I figured a month and a half, is that enough time?  I know I can get them done a lot quicker since I don't have much going on...but I know everyone else is always busier than me Smiley

Yes the longer the better for me bc I have some junk going on at work.  So depending on that, I'm either going to do them super quick to beat the issue, or I'll need a lot of time to work around it.

I would like to do this but I'm not too confident in my quilting abilities.  I would also appreciate an extension because it'd be really neat to have a quilt with all fifty states but I'd like to try the block out of scrap fabric first before I commit to making 50 blocks!

Okay...how about this..signups will be extended until July 20.  I was going to extend it one week but I will be on vacation untill the 19th, so I figured I might as well extend it thru the weekend too.  How about sendouts Sept 20....two months to make the blocks?  Sounds good to everyone?

I'm in.  I'll be filling out my questionaire on my lunch break today.  I fiddled around with some scraps and it's not too difficult.  I think I could definitely make 50 blocks in 2 months!  And I totally want New Jersey if it hasn't been claimed- I need to represent!

I did some brainstorming for the 3 states I have already and I think I'm going to go out an browse for fabrics.  This way I'll be ahead instead of behind.
