I bought a bead loom quite cheaply a while ago, got it home and then realised I was utterly intimidated by it.  Completely unfazed, my boyfriend, who'd never seen one before, opens up the box, threads the loom and starts weaving away.  I had no idea what he was doing until he got to the C.  I am totally in awe of his skills and this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.  How lucky am I?  Oh, and any tips for finishing this off would be muchly appreciated.

Ok what you are supposed to do to finish off is clip the thread at the end of the loom. (not close to the beads.) And either tie off in groups of 2. Or thread the strand through the beads to come out the center of both sides then tie the group. You can then just use your tails to tie the bracelet on or you can attach a clasp. Smiley
not personally to my taste but I do think the sentiment of your boyfriend making something for you is very sweet. Smiley you should treasure it forever just for that!

I am an older person, so I am going to say this.  Would his parents or yours think this was a nice gift that he made for you.  You don't have to answer that, just think about it.

This is awesome. So Incredibly awesome.

What I've always done to finish off loomed pieces is individually weave each thread back through the beads with a bit of jeweller's glue, leaving 2 or 3 strands in the middle to attach a clasp. It is time consuming, but it gives a nice clean finish. I would just mount this and put it on the wall Grin

I wish I were so lucky as to recieve such an AWESOME PIECE!!

My fiancee and I are always doing, and saying things that people just look at us like we are weird, or are unhappy with each other!!  But If I didnt call him a douche bag, and try to punch him..... he might think I'm mad at him!

To have such a relationship is wonderful.... to be silly, yet be able to hold each other, and really love each other....priceless!!

I am interested in personal swaps!
