If you <3 fabric, this is the swap for you!  This round will be taking place throughout the month of July.

This is an ongoing swap: Claim a total yard of fabric from the list of the last person who posted, and post your own list in response. It makes a chain.

For each claim, you will get to select a total of one yard of fabric (combined from FQs, half yards or a yard) from the list that is up for grabs at the moment.  In return, you will then be required to make a post with a minimum of eight fabric swatches that you have available for someone else to claim.    

The amount of outstanding claims you are allowed is based on your Craftster and swapping status. New swappers get 1 claim, Friends of Craftster get 3, and everyone else gets 2.

HOW TO PLAY:

Step 1.  Send in your answers to the swap questionnaire to me and imafundork via PM to get approved for this swap

Step 2.  Prepare your lists and photos of your fabric so that you’ll be ready to post the list when you make a claim!  Remember, you need 8 different fabrics minimum!  They do not each have to be a yard, but must each be at least a fat quarter. Along with the pictures, you should describe the type and clearly specify the quantity of fabric that you’re offering!  For example:

1. "Brown and Turquoise Cotton Batik.  1/2 Yard Piece." or "polyester stretch fabric, any amount up to 1 yard"

Step 3.  Watch the swap thread for something you’ll like to claim.  To claim, post a reply along the lines of
 “I claim one FQ of #2 and #6 plus half a yard of #4 from klum78’s list”.  
Then send a PM to the person you’ve claimed from listing what you’ve claimed and include your name and mailing address.

Step 4.  Now that you’ve made a claim, it’s your turn to post your list of fabric swatches!  If the thread idles for more than a day, please take the initiative to add more selections to your list!  When someone chooses from your list, you have seven (7) days to get the swap package out the door!

Step 5.  If you have not maxed out on the number of claims you have been approved for, you may keep on claiming.  If you have reached your limit, you will not be able to make another claim until one of your partners has received a swap package from you.


SOME RULES:

1.  You may not participate in this swap until you have been pre-approved by the swap organizer or co-organizer and are listed on the “List of Approved Swappers.” If you’re thinking about participating, go for it and get pre-approved. By doing so, you’ll be ready to make a claim when you see something you like

2.  You must have ready access to a camera or scanner and know how to post pictures in the swap thread.  Please make sure you have your list (either links or pictures) of fabrics available when you start swapping!  You will need to have a minimum of eight fabric swatches in your posts. You may also choose the option of posting links to your fabric swatches.  If you do that, please make sure that your links work!

3. The width of fabric is expected to be about 45". If your fabric is much wider than this you may - if you want - cut away a piece to adjust the width. An FQ is a fourth of a yard of fabric, i.e. about 18" x 22"

4.  All participants must be willing to ship to international destinations.  Since we’re only sending a total of a yard of fabric, shipping costs are pretty reasonable.
  
5.  After a claim has been made, you have seven (7) days to mail your package!  Check out the second post of this swap thread to know when your swap packages are due.

6. Delivery Confirmation Numbers will be required for swap packages that are being sent within the United States. If you’re sending a package to another country, or if you don’t reside in the USA, please save your receipts!  Remember to send the DCN info to your swap partner(s) and the organizers (that would be klum78 and imafundork!)

7.  It is important to communicate with your partners and the organizers.  You must let the organizers and your partner know when you have shipped, received or may be late!  You are still responsible for sending out the swap package in a timely manner!    
  
8. Please offer fabric selections that others would want to claim.  Try to include a variety of fabrics in your lists. Don’t include only Christmas fabrics or only vintage fabrics, etc.
 Another good rule of thumb to follow is this: If you're offering a piece of fabric to "simply get rid of it", please don’t.

#1  Up to 1 yard blue/green/brown knit (one way) with gold sequins and a 2" knit ruffle every 3".  Polyester and (maybe) a little cotton.  It's soft.  Beautiful, especially on the bias.  I bought way too much and literally want every garment in my closet made out of this.  But enough is enough.

Hey guys! I have to admit, I don’t know for sure the fiber content of most of these (I tend to buy fabric based on print or color without a glance at fiber content lol), but I will try to describe these to the best of my ability. Also, please look past the fact that they look wrinkly in the scans, I will press them before I send them.

1. Red and cream rose motif on a navy blue background. I am pretty sure this is cotton. It is somewhat lightweight (but you can’t see through it due to the dark colors). Each rose motif is about ½ inch wide and 7/8 inch tall. FQ

2. Turquoise and lime green flowers on a white background. It is 100% cotton and is on the thin side. Dark colors will show underneath it, but it would make a great lining material. The largest flower is about 1 inch across. FQ

3. Light/dark blue vine print on an off-white background. This is probably cotton as well, but it is thicker than the last two. The print is on the small side. FQ

4. White flowers on a black background. I get an Asian vibe from this for some reason. This is cotton that is a medium thickness. The larger flowers are about ½ inch across. FQ

5. Light/Dark blue flower and vine pattern on an ivory background. This is lightweight cotton, and the print is on the large side, with the roses measuring 1½ inches across. 1/2 yard

6. Yellow, gray, and white dots on a black background. I think this is a mix between cotton and polyester, but I am not quite sure. It is an apparel fabric (I made myself a skirt with this and it moved so nicely). The dots range in size, but the largest dots are 3/8 inch in diameter. 1/2 yard

7. Shades of green and brown leaves. This is a heavy fabric. The manufacture (Ametex) makes upholstery fabric, so I think it is safe to assume that this is upholstery fabric, lol. The print is really big. The leaves are about 8 inches long and 5 inches wide. 1/2 yard

8. Blue pinstripe fabric. I have no idea what the fiber content is, but it has this slight shine when the light hits it. It is not stretchy. Each solid stripe is 5/8 inch apart. 1/2 yard

9. Italian(?) comic book flannel. I am pretty sure this is cotton. It is totally awesome, and I want to share it! I have no idea what they are saying though, lol. 1/2 yard

10. Different types of red hearts on a white background. This is upholstery fabric. The hearts range in size but the largest heart is about 3 inches across. 1/2 yard

Hey, everybody.  I hope you LOVE what I have to offer.  Very different things.  I smoke but live in a smoke free home with no pets.  I'm sorry if the description isn't clear enough.  Please PM me and I'll clarify.  There are 8 items so, take your time and LOOOOOOOK.  All items are listed 'up to' the approximate length, but I'll be glad to cut it smaller to your specifications.
 
#1  Up to 1 yard blue/green/brown knit (one way) with gold sequins and a 2" knit ruffle every 3".  Polyester and (maybe) a little cotton.  It's soft.  Beautiful, especially on the bias.  I bought way too much and literally want every garment in my closet made out of this.  But enough is enough.

#5  Up to 3/4 of a yard turquoise embroidered crinkle polyester satin.  The embroidery is this cool paisley.  So nice.
