Yes, it is machine applique. Its still not as perfect as I would like it, but it takes practice.

That top and skirt are beautiful!  I love the applique!  I'm going to try to upload my photos of the stuff I sent tonight.  I think I have a good shot of the front and back of the jacket. Smiley
