One more question about the bag:

If you didn't do the sc around the edges, how did you connect the two handles? This will basically be my first felting attempt so I don't know what the do's and don'ts are...

that was my first felting attempt too, and i basically took a huge chance. but in the berroco pattern, not sure if you've looked it over yet, but you start both handles at the base on the top of the bag (the first one you'll just basically continue after your last row, the 2nd you'll have to reattach yarn to the other side and do the same) and then you just whipstitch the tops of the straps together, which will be invisible and fused together after the felting. i think the sc around the handles is just to smooth it out because it's very choppy after all the decreasing, but since it shrinks and bonds during felting, you don't see that at all when it comes out. plus, since it shrinks more width wise than length wise, i thought the opposite direction of the stitches would make it crinkle or something. good luck with yours!!

in the sanibel pattern it says
"With size 3.00 mm (D) crochet hook, ch 6 and join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1:  Ch 1, work 10 scs in ring, join with a sl st in ch-1."

If I ch 6, and then I have to work 10 sc in ring, does that mean that I have to do 2sc in each ch?
