I just got my kit and guess what! There's an animal in mine, too Cool

This kit is amazing but it was an especially cool opening experience for two reasons: 1) I purposely didn't check to see what kit I was getting before it showed up and 2) I've wanted to learn screen printing for a really long time.

Without further ado, the contents.

Here's the outside. Looks fancy, right?

The insides:

And not one, but THREE sets of instructions. I have options.

Finally, the sample is of the Wizard of Oz. Classic.

Thank you so much for my kit!

what great kits!  I am about to start an embroidery project for another swap.  I am kind of winging it.  I have embroidered felt stockings before and never used a hoop or anything and the pattern was already printed on.  This one I still don't have a hoop and am using my own pattern.  I think it's time to go looking around the embroidery boards.  Wish me luck!  Maybe next time I will sign up to learn embroidery!

Oh wow. I just got ridiculously spoiled by Lindyv321. SO exciting. Here are some photos:

Opening the box (I felt like a kid on Christmas morning!!)

I got a binder with instructions, pliers and cutters, an earring specific kit (Lindyv321 knows how much I love dangly earrings!!) and TWO tupperware containers of GOODIES!!

Closeup of the first container.

Ridiculous amount of beads!!! YAY!!!

Instructions with colour photos

This is the jewelry that Lindyv321 made for me. I love them all. The domino bracelet is GOLD!!!

And the best part is that before this swap, I was feeling pretty blah about crafting in general. I hadn't done much of anything crafty in weeks. But now, I'm so energized to start on jewelry making!!! And I absolutely have Lindyv321 and this swap to thank for that!! Yay for Craftster.

I am glad it got there and that you liked it all!  I forgot to mention that for the two rings, the blank topper is so you can put whatever picture you want on the bottom.  Does that make sense??

I can't wait to see what kinds of jewelry you make!

I finally got around to trying out my new kit!  I embroidered these on a pillow case.

I think I need to work on making the stiches an even length....I think that's the hard part.

Wow! Your first attempts at embroidery look a lot better than mine. I tried to embroider the rockets and planet from the sublime stitching pattern book. The outline parts were okay, but I tried satin stitch on the planet and it doesn't look too great! lol. I think I'll try it again without the satin stitch and post then.

I received from NightOwl quite a while ago - I am so sorry it took me so long to post pictures. I have Internet at work only, and I only work 2 weekends per month! Sometimes, things are too hectic here for me to get online!

Without further ado...

She sent:
A hand embossed card (the embossing doesn't show up too well in the pic), a hand-written instruction book that is SO pretty, and all the stuff to make Gothic earrings, Fleur de Pierre necklace, and Bullseye earrings, plus some extra stuff to play arund with!

Her instructions were completely awesome - the Gothic earrings are finished and look amazing! NightOwl has great taste!

Thanks so much - I love everything!

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.
