Wowie wow wow! How did you make the roe?

I just used some large, dark red shiny beads for the roe.  I made the sushi roll but stopped the rice short about 1/4 of an inch from the top of the "seaweed".  I glued the beads onto the "rice" amking sure the holes in the beads were not showing on the top anywhere.  Then I filled in all the gaps with this stuff called "Glossy Accents".  It's a three-dimensional puffy paint-like stuff that is found in the scrapbooking section of the craft store.  It dries perfectly clear.  It not only holds the beads together but it filled in the holes and created a wet look (and it filled in all the weird gaps!)

Looks good enough to eat I'm going to show this to my sushi-loving friends ASAP! And I agree with everyone else: using a towel for the rice = genius.

That sushi is awesome!  But those baby shoes look NOTHING like the pattern!  Those Heather-Waht's-Her-Name ones are UGLY!  Your are gorgeous!  You should stop linking to her and start saying they are your original design!  Oh and just in case you didn't know...you ARE a FIBER ARTIST too!!!!  You make your mama proud! This is gorgeous work!!!!

the sushi rocks and the booties made me go ...Awwww...outloud. ..so my little girl had to run up to the computer to see! Amazing work!!!

omg it looks so good i want to eat it!  i love how you used terry cloth for the rice.  it makes it look more realistic.
