I know this has been done before. But I'm a huge Mega Man fan, so when someone asked me, "Can you make a Mega Man helmet?" I said, "YES, and I shall do it better than it has ever been done before!"

So I present to you the most accurate crocheted Mega Man helmet/hat I have ever seen on the interwebs:

It has 4 things most Mega hats do not:
1) A nice m shape around the face
2) Raised blue stripes
3) CORRECT ear thingies! The red in the middle makes a little depression... er... it goes in, is what I'm trying to say
4) It looks like a helmet, but stays on your head like a hat.

I love it very much, but... it's a bit nerdy, even for me.  Cheesy

And now for some more!

Protoman...

Bass/Forte...

Mega Man X...

Met/Metool/Mettaur...

MegaMan.EXE...

And Mega Man Zero!

Only 3 more to go and I've made EVERY main character helmet! Woo~!  Grin

I think I'm going to have to try to copy your style. My nephew has loved Mega Man ever since he was 2 and he is 11 now. If you ever make a pattern, let me know.

That is simply amazing. I wish my knitting or crocheting skills were better so I could attempt something like this. I don't even know what else to say, it's fantastic.

*bows* I'll be stalking this for a hope for a pattern. My cousin's birthday is in August and (he's 28) wants a MegaMan costume. This would be a great start.

The MegaMan helmet is simply wonderful  Great job!
hmm...
I bet that same idea (helmet that sits like a hat) would make a simply SMASHING Darth Vader helmet....
