This is truly awesome - I have always wanted a secret door as well.  The book latch is fantastic!  Do you think you and/or your brother in law could post a short tutorial?  I have very limited constructions skills, but I'd love to know how it's done! Smiley

So amazingly cool!  I want one in the worst way.  But do you have to worry about books falling off when you open the door?  I suppose since it is a secret one it won't be flung back in a dramatic manner, but the obsessive book straightener in me does wonder...
