I seem to have gotten carried away with all those 'P's >_<

My son (the Beast) seems to go through clothes much faster than I can wash them, (argh at apartments without in-unit washers and dryers!), and we have the added problem of not having air conditioning, so it is very hot and so we wear the bare minimum of clothing around the house anyway. So I solved the problem by digging out the remnants of an old sheet that had previously been used to make PJ's for my dad, and made a bunch of play/ PJ shorts for the Beast. And because I couldn't just have 7 pairs of identical shorts laying around, I drew stuff on them with a sharpie. ^_^ And because I'm a nerd I had to include the Alliance and Horde insignias from World of Warcraft. Yes, I know. I need help.

All together:

Close ups of my favorites:

And the beast in all his short and short-tastic glory:

These were very simple to make and overall it took me about 2.5 to 3 hours to make them all from start to finish. I hope you enjoyed!

I've used them a few times on clothing, and I've never had a problem with them bleeding in the wash. They do fade sometimes, especially darker colors, but I have heard that if you iron over it first it helps keep from fading. I usually just touch it up if it bugs me. ^_^

That is an excellent way to be frugal. I'm frugal (read cheap) and these look so simple, and you can make a bunch from one sheet. Kudos to you.

What a cool idea! I never thought of using sharpies to decorate clothes. I usually try to keep my sharpies as far away from my clothes as possible! They now have lots of colors to use too.
