Those are adorable! I too have a thing for pandas....We did a project like this in my AP art class but the shoes we made weren't for wearing. I've been wanting to try it again but I'm always scared I'm going to put a lot of work into them and they will start cracking or peeling once I wear them :/ Does that extra coating prevent that?

As long as your paint layers arent super thick, and you apply a few layers of sealent you shouldnt have any problems. I've had my pair for a few months now and I havent noticed any peeling or cracking.
