so, you don't need to add fabric medium when you are painting on a suitcase?  i guess because it's not going to be all floppy like clothes, right?  and cos you are never going to be able to put the suitcase in the washing machine. hmmmm....

i think i need to try this on my bright fuschia rolling suitcase (from the flea market Wink ).  i guess it will be a case of toning it down, though, rather than brightening it up - jaja
maybe some nice bold designs in black.
... or lime green?!  can you tell i have a hard time going away from color?!

The fabric/textile medium may still be a good option.  I used the brush-on varnish to make everything shiny without the glitter paint.  But I had never worked with textile medium when I did the suitcase some 3+ years ago.  I have recently tried working with it and I noticed it makes the paint very shiny and rubbery, so maybe you could use it and skip the varnish.  But you're right that you don't actually need it, because the suitcase is firm.  In fact I have painted on the back pockets of jeans without the medium, then painted over it with the Tulip glitter paint, and it lasts through tons of washings, and looks new each time!

Did you paint the whole thing purple, as per the instructions you gave?

'Who are YOU?' said the caterpillar.

'I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'
