I feel a quick background is necessary for this.
About 6 months ago I moved from where I was born and raised (FL) to move with my fiance to Montana. He's in the Peace Corps. It was quite the climate/culture shock in January! haha. Well, I've been taking time to really enjoy everything I can here. We try and do as many local things as possible.
Well, yesterday I experienced my very first Minor League Baseball game. We had a blast. About halfway through the game(our team did win!) I looked up at the score board and saw the cutest little mascot I've ever really seen. His name is Orbit.
Apparently the team was named after a UFO sighting, and of course the mascot is an alien. I felt inspired after looking at him, so I immediately started on my next project: Orbit. Smiley

Super cute.  How about keeping your eyes open for a clear dome top from hair products (or something), poke holes and do and edge of sc. crochet around for top of space ship?  Just an idea.  It is already great!

That's so funny that you mention that! My original idea was to use a plastic dome from those little eggs you get out of the .25 machine at Wal-Mart, of course Orbit came out a little bigger than what I had imagined. But using something from a hair product is a great idea! Thanks!
