Thursday, July 9th marks the Vancouver (BC) Premiere of Handmade Nation!

Vancouver is only one of two stops in Canada scheduled for Handmade Nation and the only one to have Director Faythe Levine attend in person.

Rio Theatre - 1660 E. Broadway (at Commercial Drive)

Thursday, July 9th
Craft Showcase at 7:00pm
Movie Screening at 8:00pm

In 2006, Faythe Levine traveled the country, putting 19,000 miles under her belt and visiting 15 cities to document the new wave of craft in the USA.  Faythe has encapsulated this particular chapter in craft history with the documentary Handmade Nation (http://www.handmadenationmovie.com), and an accompanying book of the same name.

What else?
Join us for a craft showcase featuring 14 local handmade artists.
Bring your own handmade goodies and 'Show Us Your DIY' at the Photobooth Vancouver station
Get your own copy of the book at the Sophia Books table

Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.gotcraft.com/handmadenation for $20.00 or at the door for $25.00.
