plexi glass flower

This is a table top flower I made out of Plexiglas! the petals were made by warming the plexi glass with a heat gun and bending in the shape of petals.



some petals were heated to the bubbling point to provide texture, while other petals were sand blasted to produce different textures.



the base was made out of a thicker piece of Plexiglas and spray painted black with glossy black flowers hand painted for extra accents



the black spirals were created by black Plexiglas heated and twisted around a pencil

That is BLOODY EFFING AWESOME! Not just the technique, which intrigues me immensely, but the artistry of the finished product is amazing! It wouldn't have near as much personality without the multiple textures. It's a piece worthy of public viewing, for sure!

i could see those as centerpieces for a wedding, they are so elegant! i love the color/design of the base, it is neat
