My friend Jess and i have a standing crafty date once a week and this week we made a bottle chandelier! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of it in the daytime except on my phone and i can't get them onto my computer right now! But the chandelier has lights so it looks cool at night!

We took a grill grate and cut it up the middle and bent the spikes out. we attached 4 hook things (Jess knows what they're really called. I don't remember) and then attached the chains and grouped them together so that it would be secure. Then we added the bottles and added Christmas lights! and VOILA!

and my favorite one!

it turned out way better than I thought it would! and it really wasn't that hard! comments and criticism appreciated!

I think you mean s hooks, the light looks great good use of some old bottles too. It would be a great craft if you could find lots of different colored bottles.

That's fantastic!  I've been wanting to have a bottle tree for ages, but this might be a way better way to express that desire.  Please post day pics when you can!   Smiley

This is fantastic! Next time I see a grill during move-out week I might have to grab it.

I love that you used lots of bottles, so they look like a cluster. There is a bottle tree near a gift shop here in town, but it is so sparsely decorated that I always though it looked like a huge storage rack for about 7 empty wine bottles!

So if you made this together, who gets to keep it?!

Oh my goodness! I love this! I'd love to have one hanging in the big tree in my backyard. Gonna bookmark this idea for later! Beautiful!

I think you mean s hooks
The hooks looked more like Cs with a thing that screwed into the other part to close it so that it looked like a 0... haha I'm obviously way technical! lol

I  just tried taking some, but my camera batteries died! I'll try to get some soon though!

I'm keeping this one because she wants one that could go inside her house, so we're going to experiment on making a "classier" version and she'll keep that one!
