Okay, no one call CPS on me, but my son had this boring gray t-shirt that I paired with a cute pair of camo thrift store shorts, and I wanted to spice up the t-shirt with some embroidery.

So I searched and searched, for bad ass baby things like maybe a skull & crossbones, but then I realized the shorts were camo, he needs a gun! So I found a picture I really liked of a gun in Clip Art, and drew it onto the t-shirt, got out my floss, needle & hoop and started my first ever embroidery project.

Okay, so it's a bit lumpy, and quite imperfect, but from far away I think it looks good!

(Yes I made the baby too, he's still a WIP although I am quite proud of what I have done already Smiley)

Gotta love the baby action photos, what a model!  It was ambitious to do a t-shirt for your first embroidery project, nice job.

Thanks guys Smiley I am pretty proud of my little man, and yes he is quite a sober baby. He concentrates so hard on stuff it looks like he's going to laser it with his eyes! But we do have giggly tickle sessions too Smiley

The embroidery was extra hard because I thought I had brought transfer paper for fabric, so originally I printed out the clip art picture and traced the whole thing, picked it up - nothing. lol. So I looked at the package again and I guess it only works on paper and wood. Crap. So I just had to wing it. I will definitely be embroidering more in the future, but will maybe read up on stitches beforehand this time Tongue This is all just sloppy backstitching.

*Wishing I had done that for my sons when they were little [sigh]*

This is great and your boy is beyond adorable.  And that's not seriousness, that's concentration...he's thinking just as hard as he can so he can figure out what you're doing and do it himself!  My youngest son was like that as an infant, and two weeks ago he finished 4th grade with 3 A's and 5 A+'s.
