I have acquired around 200 pieces of beautiful chiffon / silk / georgette sari fabric and I need some inspiration!  I found the following website:

http://shylaacreations.com/vintage-silk-sari-wraps.html

which has some stunning dresses / skirts made out of sari fabric.  The cuts look fairly simple.

Anyone have any idea on how I could start making any of these?  I love the Kariza or Magic skirts, which I think are a double layer wrap skirt.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks!  Grin

Ok can you tell me how those skirts are made...I love them and have plenty of fabric to use.

They look like a simple A-line wrap skirt with long ties for the waistband? do the ties go around on top of the waist, or are there openings in the band to allow the tie to poke through to be tied off at the end.

how are the handkerchief ones made?? I love those!

Try this website, http://www.milliana.com/index.html ,  it seems that it is just a waistband of a certain length with the fabric gently gathered in whatever skirt length you want.  Might help.
