Yum!  These look so good!  Thanks for the pictorial.  I've always been meaning to make these but every time I buy plantains, I wait too long and they always end up ripening so I just eat it.  Looks like a lot of oil, but what am I talking about, I don't mind frying things in oil.

Not really. They are made from the same thing but these are smushy in the middle and crispy on the outside, not hard like a chip.
