I received from Amigurl55!!!! She sent me the sweetest little Asian inspired poppet ever! I love love love her!



Here she is in her fabulous Hello Kitty yukata! (brightly, more fun colored summer weight kimono!) Perfect for strolling down through Harajuku, but still appropriate for festivals and shrine visits!





And an extra (and adorable!) little sundress is the prettiest fabric! The accents are shiny gold!

She also sent a little bag of small bands to put on my bobbin threads to keep them from unwinding when not in use! Best idea ever! (How did you know I'm constantly tangling up my bobbins, though?)

Yay!  I'm so glad you like her!  As soon as I saw that Hello Kitty fabric I was like, "I have to make a kimono out of that!" and I was hoping you liked Hello Kitty 'cause it went so well with her hair.  The eyes are hand painted, but not by me.  I got them from chezmichelle on Etsy.  I'm glad the bobbin thingies will be useful; I know my "bobbin drawer" is a lot more organized with them.

I received from blue_lalita today! She sent me a wonderful little dryad (EDIT: I just found the card that blue_lalita sent me with the package... oops, it was hidden behind my address  . A dryad is a tree nymph in Greek mythology- thanks Wikipedia!). I have dubbed her Fern, after the movie FernGully I used to be obsessed with as a kid (Yep, I might change this as I research more into dryads (I just explained what they are to my mom and she rolled her eyes and was all like "Oh great... something else for you to spend yuor day on the computer researching ).

PS. She arrived in a box of size 15 Converses... Whoa?!? How big are those shoes in real life? I only wear size 5 1/2 Converses!
