I found this brown velvet dress at a thrift store for $1, and turned it into something pretty! I cut off the collar and made it into a ruffle, then sewed it on the back after altering the neckline a little. Then I also altered the back (where the original neckline was) to make a deep V.  I can't wait until fall so I can wear it!

This is VERY cute! A girl after my own heart Tongue! In spring I always make things for summer.. in summer always things for fall.. Then I get overly excited for the next season! ha ha :]!

I totally agree! I love how you took out the button part, it looks like some designer dress now!
