I received a wonderful house from RamonaQ yesterday.  It came with a very thoughtful handwritten letter (2 pages) on beautiful stationary!!  Thank you.  I love handwritten notes!  Smiley  And she remembered that we collect stamps and included some along with a neat nautical button!   Smiley
All the goodies!

Here is a closeup of the front.  I love the imagery.  There is a man behind the door.  Smiley

And a closeup of the back.

The really neat thing here is that if you move the lever the monkey on the front moves back and forth.  I love it!!

Thank you so much RamonaQ for such a great house!!!

Damn atsuko, you lucky potato Wink The monkey detail is awesome RamonaG!

I'll post pictures of the wonderful house I got from atsuko tomorrow. The camera only just got home and as it's past midnight and I'm really tired, I'll wait with the picture. Hope it's okay!

great houses! i want to see the man behind the door !

mail makes me so mad. sent 4 houses at the exact same time. 2 arrived right away, and the other two are....well, not delivered....grrrr. i'm worried about my little houses all on their own in the big world without a loving neighborhood to watch after them

i love personal swaps. i'm looking to swap my art or paper crafts for some re-usable fabric snack bags, fabric sandwich wraps, fabric paper towels, glass pendants, ephemera, or art books.

atsuko send me this adorable chunky house - my first! It's so beautiful and really moved me. She also included the lyrics to Alison Krauss' Baby Mine (I included them underneath).

Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
never to part,
baby of mine.

Little one when you play,
don't you mind what they say.
Let those eyes sparkle and shine,
never a tear,
baby of mine.

If they knew sweet little you
they'd end up loving you two.
All of those people who scold you
what they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your head down to your toes,
you're not much, goodness knows.
But you're so precious to me,
sweet as can be,
baby of mine.

Thank you atsuko. It's so simple and so strong!

...the lyrics to Alison Krauss' Baby Mine...

That's a beautiful chunky house.  One little correction, Alison Krauss's version of 'Baby Mine' is lovely, but she didn't write it.  The song is from the Disney movie 'Dumbo', with music by Frank Churchill and lyrics by Ned Washington.

(Sorry for the derail, but we all know that Craftsters like to give credit where credit is due. Wink)

Thanks for the correction erikau!  My hubby noticed it too, but my houses were already in the mail when he saw my copy.  Sad
