I'm FINALLY getting around to posting the Easter dress I made for my daughter. I've never in my life seen an Easter dress with long sleeves, but since it's always chilly here at that time of year, I figured, why not? And it's a good thing too...it was almost frigid this year!

I made a little pettiskirt and headband to go with it.

I can't seem to find time these days to post much of anything here on Craftster, so I made a guitar to keep my demanding wee one out of my hair for a bit.

Now that she's happily strumming away, here's a compliation of all I've made these past months.

Mickey Mouse dress, hat, and ruffle-butt bloomers! (Who says she can't have a ruffle butt even though she's potty trained?)

A couple of mei tais I made for my cousin to give to her sisters-in-law (they're also my cousins, right?). She picked out the fabric online, I ordered it and did the sewing. I still need to finish the one I'm making for me!

A button-up shirt for my nephew (size 3-4), modeled by my daughter (size 2).

There's one more outfit I should post, but I don't have pictures of it yet and it's in the laundry right now...so that'll have to wait till next time. Besides, I need to get off of here and expell a busy line of ants from my kitchen!

Thanks for the comments on the Easter dress! I love how it turned out! I wanted something a little different and couldn't find a pattern to suit my needs, so I drafted this one myself. Sadly, I didn't get any really good action shots of her in it...it was too cold to think about taking pictures outside, plus she was wearing a long jacket...and DH took the ones inside, but he forgot to turn the flash on, so they all came out blurry.  She got lots of comments at church though!

They all look beautiful!  I especially love the Easter dress with petticoat and headband.  (Your model is just too, too cute.)

Great job drafting your own Easter style!  How hard was it to do that pettiskirt?  I think tulle is the fabric of SATAN... bwahahaha!!!  That stuff is hard to work with to me.  I've done plenty of skirts with it, but hate it every time.

The tulle wasn't too terrible. I used the kind you get on a roll (two rolls for $1 each at JoAnn's), so I didn't really have to do any cutting to speak of. I ran a gathering thread on my sewing machine and used lots of long pins. It isn't as nice to work with as simple cotton stuff, but it's not as bad as satin or brocade or some of the other super slippery stuff!

love the dress, we were chilly at easter too.  1 1/2 ft of snow.  and to chemically free get rid of ants, wash the area they are coming in and lay down a sprinkling of powdered cloves.  Not sure if I should of added that. Grin
