Thanks. I think you could make longer handles out of cans, but you probably wouldn't want to carry much in the bag then. eveH suggested in a earlier commet using rope or webbing which is probably a good idea. Or you may be able to use cans, but find some way to reinforce the handles or put material around the edges, maybe.

Very clever! Wonder if jewelry jump rings would work as well as the staples and stitching. Love your use of color and the randomness of the squares and rectangles. Excellent work.
