Treasure Stones

MATERIALS:
 1 cup flour
1 cup used coffee grounds (set them out overnight to dry)
 1/2 cup salt
 1/4 cup sand
 3/4 cup water
Small prizes, such as plastic toys, dice, and marbles

Time needed: About 2 to 3 Hours
1. Heat the oven to 170 degrees. In a medium-size bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Slowly add the water, stirring until the mixture forms a dough.

2. Roll a piece of the dough into a ball roughly the size of a baseball. Use your finger to bore a hole to the center, push in a couple of small prizes, then seal the hole with more dough. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough.

3. Place the stones on a baking sheet and cook them for 40 minutes, then allow them to cool completely before giving them to the kids to break open (easy to do by hand). Makes 4 treasure-filled stones.

Ours didn't form into a ball, it was more like a blob!

Sidewalk Paint

MATERIALS:
 1/4 cup cornstarch
 1/4 cup cold water
 Food coloring
 Paintbrush

Time needed: 30 Minutes or Less
1. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and cold water. Stir in as many drops of food coloring as you need to get your desired color. Repeat this process for each paint color. Use a paintbrush to make fun designs on the sidewalk or driveway. To wash the paint off, simply spray the area with water.

This paint goes bad so don't try to store it!

Adia had to remake the shirt.  The first one she did turned into a mini disaster!  The whole shirt was covered in I don't know whats!  She ended up not liking the results and so we started over.

Logan received his package from Ryan and smittenheart!

First off some keychains - an "L" and a #2 (that's his number in football) ...

Next up - a Steelers T Shirt!  This is his favorite (and it has his name on the back in iron on letters) ...

And a toy fish for our cat, Stitch.  Stitch is in heaven, he loves it (he's a very playful cat despite his girth -  Wink )

And some extras - sidewalk chalk and bath bombs.  I think I almost have Logan convinced that it would be super nice to sit in a tub smelling alot like candy!  Although, if he doesn't go for it, I certainly will ...  (And of course, there was candy that disappeared almost immediately!)

Thanks so much Ryan and smittenheart - we really enjoy the package -  Grin (Stitch send his thanks too!)

great stuff! Those key chains are cool and that t-shirt looks great.
I wish there was some way to smell those bath bombs, especially if they smell as good as they look Wink

Oh he looks so happy with everything!! I love the Steelers t-shirt, maybe I should change my name to Logan, lose some weight, find  your house and borrow that for just a lil while Wink just kidding, but wow really nice!!

I love the flip flops too.  So pretty, love the attitude she has in that pic.

What awesome packages so far, I love when the kids craft, have a blast and then get to open goodies themselves for once!!
