I've had a sewing machine sitting in my closet since I was 17. Id really love to learn how to use it but I have no clue where to start! I do want to take a class, but Im afraid to get there and learn nothing but how to get the machine started. Can anyone recommend a place to start for lessons  Cheesy ?

Where do you live? I could give you private lessons, if you're not too far away. I have been sewing for 43 yrs. Since I was 6. I live in North Phoenix,in the Sunnyslope neighborhood, off of Cave Creek Rd. and I could have you come here. You would not be wasting your time and money! Karen
