I recently made up this little Sacred Heart piece... it's about 4.5" tall, 3.5" wide.  I plan to frame it.



Here's a WIP pic. . . .



I stitched this on some reclaimed cotton fabric (once a skirt lining), and used felt scraps and some thrift store thread.




I'm wondering if I should leave the background white and simple, or should I embellish with lots of swirls, outlined drawings. . . you know, overloaded?  Suggestions welcome!

This is a beautiful piece. I love how you did the barbed wire. I think adding to it would be beautiful, go crazy! Wonderful work!
