I'm moving into my first apartment in August and have been trying to think of things to make it my own. I got these bowls from Bed Bath and Beyond for a dollar a piece and had at them with my ceramic pen. I drew the pictures on with a pencil first, which just rubbed off afterwards. I love how they turned out!

Where the Wild Things Are

Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Winnie The Pooh

Alice In Wonderland

how fun!  be careful, your guests might swipe these!

btw- two questions:
where to buy a ceramic pen, and are the bowls dishwasher safe?

I got the pen from Michael's. They have a bunch of different colors, plus fatter tipped ones. The bottom of the bowl says it's dishwasher safe, and the pen says once it's been baked on it's alright to put in the dishwasher, but I'm a little skeptical. I might try with one and see what happens, or doodle on a tester piece.

Wow, WOW! These are great! This rocks! I am impressed at how closely they look like the originals, and you did it on a wonky surface. So awesome. I can't do that so I just exaggerate my craziness to make it look like art Tongue But these are fanfuckingtastic!

I made my brother a mug with these pens, it's been through the dishwasher quite a few times and has survived. Smiley My only complaint is that the nibs fell out of my pens and now they just bleed all over. Not sure why that happened.

In any case, great bowls! I'm a massive Seuss fan, so I must admit that the Seuss one is calling to me! Wink

OMG I wish I could draw!  What a great idea. I've been drawing on ceramics lately but nothing as awesome as this. I'm a terrible artist. Tongue

Great work!
