A friend of mine had a very sweet dress which was unfortunately very tight and falling apart. As I had been shamefully disorganised and forgotten her birthday I told her I'd make her a pair of knickers out of the dress as a belated present. Upcycling material which is no longer being used into something pretty at its best! When I showed my flatmate she said they reminded her of Celia Birtwell's style and now I can't look at them without thinking the same thing.

See my blog or previous posts here for other pairs of knickers/panties I have made.

Oh wow. These are so flirty and cute. I can just imagine wearing a pair of these knickers under a flouncy skirt, and just smiling at the secret of them. Reminds me of the Tori Amos song 'The Power of Orange Knickers'. You are so clever.

I never wear undies, but I WOULD if I had panties like that.

I've never heard of that song, but it sounds great! I shall search it out

How very daring of you! I definitely like wearing this style of panties.

So cute. Couldn't wear 'em with pants though I assume. I think they're one of those pair-em-with-a-camisol-and-lounge-around-seductively-on-a-Sunday sort of knickers.

Lounging around seductively is always a great option, however I have worn this style with pants no problem. As long as they're a fairly thick fabric (like denim) and not seriously tight it's fine. The photo actually makes them look a lot pouffier than they really are once they're over your curves! If I wasn't such a wimp I'd take a photo of a pair on me to show them off properly.

Here's what you do right- put them on and take a photo and then tell us it's your lovely friend wearing them.

Haha good plan. Unfortunately these have already gone to my friend and I'm not in the pantie-stealing business, but next pair I'm on it. You're just going to have to forget you told me that...
