I SOOOOO want to do this.

I think. I know what I want to do but don't know how to do it! It's driving me crazy.  I've just spent the last hour looking for a pattern to do what I wan to do and I can't find one!  I suck at drawing so I'm afraid to draft my own, but I think I'd have to!

Just so I have this straight.....this is a 6 point swap, right?  Meaning 6 hours of craft time?

Essentially yes. These are what the sizes roughly relate to:

By Time
-Big = 3 or more hours
-Medium = 2 or more hours
-Little = 2 or less hours

By Size
-Big = A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse
-Medium = one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf
-Small = Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

By Price
-Big = $30 or more
-Medium = $10-$30 dollars
-Small = $10 or less

However you use your own judgement! I've spent hours on crafting items that would only count as a medium. I normally judge items on size than on crafting time. Does that clear things up a bit?

Also if you're stuck on how to make an item why don't you try posting a question on the relevant craft board? I'm sure there's tons of people that would be happy to help!!

Oh the mystery, the drama! Methinks this is the makings of a great theatrical production!

Mmm....let's see now...
The cast of characters starts with the swap organizers and the heroine of our story and ends with a happy swap partner.

Now for the plot.....The magical, mystical treasure to be dreamed and created by our heroine....(that'd be me). Our heroine wishes herself to be a great artist.  But sadly, the heroine soon realizes that she is only a good to medicore crafter, at best. Her creations, while nice, are not astounding.  She wants to create beautiful objects to be admired the world over.  She wants to amaze and inspire people.

We quickly transition into a fast and furious dance scene where our heroine flits from one project to the next.  A slap of glue here, a dash of sparkles there...Several projects are in various stages of completion. But, alas, none are THE item.  These are just the projects that need to be completed before she begins to create her masterpiece.

Enter from stage left:  The sweet and ever loveable but penny-pinching husband.
"Another swap?"  he asks with disbelief in his voice.
"Another swap." she purrs back to him.
He leaves shaking his head.  But he leaves.  Our heroine smiles fondly after him.

Our Heroine begins to gather the supplies and materials.  Horror of Horrors!  Supplies will need to be purchased and mailed out!  This could take weeks!

Our heroine realizes that this is good thing because swap partners won't be selected for several weeks.  There is time to be had.  Ahhh......life is grand.

Cue the happy, singing birds, floating butterflies and the scampering woodland creatures.
Black out.
End of Act 1.

Yup....I'm as corny as they come, ain't I?  What a dork.
