I just wanted to get some opinions on my skull pendant! It's my favorite (or 2nd favorite, maybe) jewelry item I've ever made.   I've cut it from 2mm thick stainless steel that I've brush finished with a coarse aluminum oxide and porcelain media.






And then there's this lovely ship pendant:

very very cool!  I don't wear necklaces often, let alone larger ones, but I would totally wear this in a heartbeat.  I must ask though, are the edges on the ship (sails, etc) a bit sharp?

  Thank you! The tips of the sails on my ship are a little sharp, but not during wear as it lays completely flat against my skin. The first one I made was cut from a thinner gauge of steel and that made it sharper, but I think this one turned out just right! It's 2 mm thick or 14 gauge.

Awesome work!  How did you cut the little ship out?  I make a lot of copper metal pendants, I smooth the edges with a dremel 120 grit flap sanding wheel shoved into a power screwdriver.  Not sure if it could get into the inside edges of your work though.  A dremel steel wire cup brush mebbe?
