You are such an inspiration! I have kept this post open for a week and keep coming back to look at it! I showed it to my husband and he wants me to do this to the 10 panels of our back door! I plan to start with a small window and see what happens!

WOW!

First off I'd like to tell you that this is absolutely breathtaking!  I have been lurking this thread since it started waiting for some hint of a tute (grin), and now I have a lovely old window of my own I'd like to resurrect in this way.  I understand how to do the basics of the mosaic and grouting, but I must ask how did you attach the mosaic pieces to the glass panes?  Is it a special adhesive?  If I know what to use to glue the pieces to the panes of glass then I can finally start my own window.  I am so excited to do this I just had to ask, couldn't wait another day!

Hope you don't mind!

Thank you so much, and I'm excited you're going to do your own. Please post it when you're done.

To adhere the glass on glass (GOG), I've found the best adhesive for this application to be MAC Glue.

It is thinner than most mosaic adhesives, but is by far superior for GOG. There is no grout bleed at all with MAC.

Please let me know if I can help further. And I do have in mind to do a tutorial, but first have to have the time. Smiley

Whoa, this is amazing!
I love seeing the transformation of salvaged things.
Every time I do a mosaic it ends up sitting around ungrouted because i'm lazy. Smiley
