OK, I'm back from my travels with a whole bunch of cool photos, some new Chinese vocab, a bit of Tibetan and a bag full of dirty clothes. Just like a holiday should be.

Glad to see the cool things in the gallery. My student is bringing my packages over tomorrow, so I get to open my goodies. Hooray!

Oh man I have to join the next round of this!  I will get the chance to use the Arabic tongue twisters that are stuck in my head!

OK, so I finally got my hands on Nataluna's crafty goodness. Seriously, I love this package. The drawings on the bag are just too cool and I'm taking that bag shopping in the morning. Since I have to speak Chinese at the market, I won't use the Spanish words, but being surrounded with them should get them stuck in my head pretty soon.

The wall hanging will go up tomorrow when I get something to hang it with (solid, plastered walls, communist concrete building). The clock is next to my bed.

Thanks also for the little extras. A purple glass pendant, some cool Spanish CDs (will put one on now) and lots of texts to learn from. Especially cool are the Spanish/English dominoes. What a cool way to learn. I would love to play with a Spanish speaker.

So, thanks again! Nataluna, your package rocks!

whew, glad you like it all!  i had 2 people with musical knowledge (dh and the young woman at the CD store, who also gave me a nice discount!) advise me on which were the good Spanish-language metal groups who sing instead of scream, so i hope the music turns out right.  i was SO tempted to open them and listen, but i wanted to keep everything nice.

oh yeah and that reader's digest, has an article about Chinese modern art in there!

Oooooooooh! How exciting!

I was rocking out to the Spanish metal last night. One has a distinctly Irish feel to it, and is a lot of fun. I've been walking around reading the comic aloud in exaggerated accents. Luckily I live alone  Grin

Tonnes of fun
