Yeey! So after some minor problem I finally received my package! And ohmygosh, its truly amazing!
My preferred language was Russian and Sofiushka is one really talented crafter Cheesy

Beware! A lot of pics ^^

First a pic of everything:

A totebag with the cutest matroshka(?) ever!

A very russified book

With little pictures and translation on EVERY page!

It also had a very beautiful poem and a Russian map in the beginning and end

Flashcards!

And last, but not least, a box with handcarved rubberstamps of the russian alphabet!!

Thank you Sofiushka! Everything was amazing!

Hooray! I'm glad my package arrived safely and that the ink didn't spill everywhere.

I didn't want to translate the bag for you, since I thought that might be fun (or frustrating!). The words 'dong' and 'xi' were in the little vocab book, but also in the notebook I wrote up. Either way you would have stumbled over them some time. It's a great expression. I liked the east/west thing since this is an Eastern language for a Westerner. I also realised 'xi' was in Spanish, so I figured that was appropriate.

The red string can either be knotted up sort of like crocheting to make a little charm or you can thread it through and use it like a necklace. The little balls have another smaller ball inside which represents generations. The smaller ball represents your ancestors. There are larger balls and they have more layers representing more ancestors and the way the ancestors shape and are important to the descendants. Hope that makes sense!

Netbar might not behave for much longer, so I'm outta here! Nice gallery all

Quick note.

I've updated status for those who have received - but no full comments yet, because I'm feeling about 63% miserable.

Don't forget to drop me a quick PM when you've sent/received.

schnerby, it's very cool that those things were all intentional.  it's always amazed me how many layers of meaning and/or coincidence can go into words.  in French i think they call it the aura around the word.

and thank you for explaining about the jade spheres.  i am not feeling very happy with my "ancestors" right now but i guess this should remind me to not reject them completely (i think that's the point of them being where they can't fall out)

Magan da gabi! Good evening

I received from OhThat yesterday. She sent me a Tagalog themed package! I was SO excited...Tagalog correct, not any other dialect? Tagalog is the national dialect spoken in the Philippines. As I mentioned to my partner when I received, I've been so eager to learn new phrases lately that I bugged a couple of strangers with an accent to teach me how to say different greetings.

The revealing

An operation themed painted tote bag with the body parts labeled. How clever! Also, an ornament with some lines from a song called De Colores. And a cute bird stuffie.

The cute note card she sent me, an altered book with the Philippino alphabet in it. It's beautiful! It also has some phrases in Tagalog.

Inside the covers were maps of the Philippines Smiley They are so pretty.

Gah! You wouldn't believe what kind of drama I went through to hook up my camera to my mom's computer. She has SO many things hooked up to this Mac mini that I swear she has cleverly disguised a computer from the 80s...

THANK YOU OHTHAT!
