shes really hard to shop for! For x-mas i ask her want she wanted (was planing on getting her some jewlery) and she said "Dandraff shampoo and good smelling soap"! so thats what i got her. Pretty sad eh? and her mom just died (my grandma) so i want something to comfort her or something.

Thanks!,

how about a blanket and a pillow. you could knit or sew them with really soft materials. My mom loves chenille.

How about starting a family scrapbook or make a collage of your Grandma in a shadow box.

Maybe just even a framed pix of the three of you or maybe one of just her and her mother.  (You could accompany the first one with a letter to yout mom telling her how much she means to you.)  You could write a letter talking about your favorite memories of your grandmother...Huh

My sympathies about your grandmother. I think it would be neat to ask your mother what her favorite thing about your grandmother was. Maybe make something based on her answer. My mother took one of her dads old shirts and her moms old dresses and cut out the shape of a shirt and the shape of a dress about 3 or 4" big and put them in a frame with a memorable poem. So they looked like 2-d doll clothes out of her parents old clothes. It was so cool.

I made these mother bracelets as Christmas gifts for my mother and MIL.  You  use a different swarovsky crystal for each birthstone.  You can have as many of her loved ones as you want (more looks better!).  My family members were very pleased with them! Smiley

Also, I saw this on here...they used handmade paper and photo transfers. You could do a special picture of your Mom and Grandma. It would be beautiful! Smiley

sorry about your grandmother
here is what i made my mom last year for mother's day
A decoupaged glass plate
I used photos of me, my hubby, and 2 boys  http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y85/RubyMo/Picture025.jpg
Sorry about the glare
I will tell you how to do it if you want
It is very simple to do
you could use different photos of you through the years, you could also do one using photos of your grandmother

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; if that doesn't work, then "KICK ASS"

If your mom is interested in a certain cause, you could donate money to that and then make a little card or something saying where the money to her present went.  At the website farmsanctuary.com you can adopt a turkey by sending 20 dollars adn they'll send you a gift certificate and everything.  my dad is really hard to buy for also but for christmas we were havinga a can food drive and i went to the grocery outlet place and spent 16 dollars on food to donate.  then i gave him the reciept.  also you could make a meal for her or something.  i think thats what i am going to do for mothers day. theres pretty good recipes here.  if you're interested i made pita bread and posted the recipe. lol you could make her some pita bread...just one of my razy ideas
