I posted this idea for a swap a year or so ago and didn't get too many bites to follow through.  It is unfortunate because I think it would be a blast! I propose we conduct a Stupid Sock Creatures swap.  The idea came from the book with the same name. Here is a link to check it outhttp://classicmonkey.com/Pages/page4.html Partners could send one another a small bag of several socks and any other items they would want included in the completed creature.  Their partner would then create a creature using the supplies and write a creative back-story. Any takers?

Sock creatures are my fort so I would SOOOOO be into this...

If no one else bites I would be willing to do a private swap with you!

I think it is a great idea.  I have that book - and a few others for sock creatures and I have yet to make a single one of them and I keep saying I will.  My youngest son adores the sock monsters he has gotten in swaps.

I think if you did a Stupid or Serious sock creatures swap you might have more bites - there have been sock monkey swaps in the past I'm pretty sure.... I would not personally want to have double shipping though - sending out socks and then creating something with what you get in return and then sending out what you created.  That would put a kink in my swap budget.

I will try and keep an eye out to see if you get this up and running.  I would like to finally make some sock creatures - even if I get a partner that wants a sock bunny.  I just need a nudge to finally make some already!

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!

Why not make this just a sock animal, doll or silly type creature etc..  You could possibly send a pair (or more) of socks to your partner if you both agree to it.  I think just the idea of a sock toy is a good idea.  There are stuffy swaps and amigfurumi swaps, and this can be a sock toy swap.  How does this sound?
