Im Icelandic but had never ever knitted a traditional Icelandic lopi sweater (Lopapeysa)  I finally knitted one for my youngest son and Im thrilled with how it came out, love the pattern and the colors. The pattern is from an Icelandic Lopi pattern book called Lopi 28, it is also sold with english text.

Hope you like the sweater.

And heres my baby boy is his new beautiful sweater   Grin

Oh beautiful beautiful!  It's so funny I have been searching and searching high and low for a good pattern to knit my boy an icelandic sweater.  Lovely work, your son looks adorable in it.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

I love traditional Icelandic sweaters, and yours looks great, with the colors and the intertwined pattern! Your knitting looks perfect, and your son is so cute!
