Wednesday night I hosted a "Rock-n-Roll" baby shower for a friend.
I created the invitations in photoshop, made a coordinating diaper cake (complete with low-top black converse shoes as a cake topper -- just like her mama's!), and a friend and I made earrings from giftcards as thank you gifts.

Shower favors -- homemade earrings. FROM GIFT CARDS!

We played three games:
1. Guess the baby from the photo
All guests brought (or emailed me) a baby/kid photo of themselves. It was a lot of fun. We had 19 baby pictures, so it was pretty tough to figure out who was who, but I think everyone liked it. I decorated the poster board that held the photos with "VIP cards". Here is an image of the mom-to-be's card:

2. Dirty Diaper Game
This seems to be
a classic these days. Five diapers, five different candy bars melted in the diaper. We had so many guests, so instead of letting guests pass around the diapers themselves, they only got 5 seconds to guess, and then it was off to the next person. All three hosts of the shower passed the diapers around, so it went by pretty quickly.
3. Ice Ice Baby (aka, "Oops, my water broke!")
Buy some
miniature plastic babies (available at craft stores--got mine at Hobby Lobby) and some small plastic cups. Put a baby in each of the cups (I used ice cube trays), pour water in it and freeze them. Each guest receives one ice-baby. Whoever can make the water melt first and announces "my water broke" wins a prize.
I found the perfect party plates at Target:

And here were the iron-on onesies I made, which we used for decorations:
