So yeh, i fell in love with this dress http://www.versatelier.com/popup_image.php?pID=1546&osCsid=hcm8lh4mlqocjcchrqr4floks4but it was over 500 in total which i thought was a bit silly. So i decided to make my own version :]
After searching high and low for a black and white tartan corset with no luck, i decided to just buy a plain black velvet one. I made the skirt and the Pink PVC bits, and there was a lovely big pink petticoat underneath. I also made a matching clutch bag. Needless to say it was the only one like it there!

Here's some pics (they're awful, i'll see if someone else has better ones!)
I have such a silly face!
I'm the one in the tartan skirt btw, just in case!  Tongue

You can see a wee bit of the petticoat in this one...

And theres me just...being me!  Grin

Thanks for looking!  Wink x

That looks fantastic!!! The hot pink details really make it pop. Great job!

I really like the solid black corset.  I think all plaid would have been too much (I couldn't see the pic of the original).  Also the fact that its velvet plays well texturally with the PVC pieces, so overall I think you did a really good job.  It is definitely different, but wicked cool nonetheless, and I bet you had a lot of fun in it!  Also, did yu have a date?  Did he try to match you at all?  I would love to see what he had on, if he did!
