My summer job affords me a lot of time to sit around and embroider, and this is what I made today! It took me the better part of three hours. That included cutting the fabric, sticking it on in the right pattern, and then doing all of the french knots for the middle.

I honestly have no idea. I think it needs a good frame, so probably I will find a nice frame for it and a nice spot on the wall.

I really think this is beautiful! I like the french knots in the middle and the fabric choice. Did you just glue the fabric down?

That is so lovely...it would be my favorite thing too!

It's screaming "purse front" at me, but in my universe,  all things big,  bright and beautiful belong on the front of a purse or tote!  Grin

I actually found an adhesive made for quilting at Joann's. It's sort of like double sided tape for fabric. It holds up really well! I used it in another project and it handled water AND being left in my (hot) car.
