I've been super obsessed with having a picnic blanket lately so that I can hang out under the trees in my backyard with my sweet baby boy.
This blanket is made from vintage fabric from the 70s that I had hidden away in my fabric stash.  It's so bright and colourful that finding an appropriate project has been a challenge.  However, i think it brings a sense of nostalgia to the picnic blanket.  Tutorial and details can be found on my blog.

That is beautiful.  I love the way the fabrics work together.  What a bright and cheery quilt.  Perfect for lying on outside.  Great work.

Thank you all for the compliments!  We have used the picnic blanket quite a bit already and it was a fun and easy project.  Perfect weekend project if you're like me and don't have tons of time to sew.
