Details of swap:
Every beader ends up with too many of some beads, or some beautiful ones that maybe aren't your style.  This delightful Bead Soup Swap will help you share that goodness with other crafters, and reinvigorate your own bead stash!
This swap will be done in groups of 3, so you will send to and receive from two other swappers.  The minimum send out limit will be 1 cup of "average sized" (5mm) beads per partner.  You can send out more if you wish, but you must check with your partners so no one feels slighted if they send more, but only receive the minimum.  It will be left to partners to decide the fairness on swapping other sized beads, like teeny-tiny seed beads or giant over-sized wooden ones.  Partners will be based on what people HAVE to give and WANT to receive.
You must also discuss with your partners before you decide to send any alternate items like charms or jewelry findings, so you can work out a fair "trade" for everyone involved.
The swap will also include one "small" beaded item as a gift for our partners, like a bracelet or pair of earrings.  These should be kept small so that you have enough time to make both, as well as pack and send out, in 8 days.  If you are new to Craftster, or are hard to stalk here, try to include information for your partners that will help them design something for you, as well as pick out beads to send you.  Be sure to include a link to your wist if you have one!

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap: Bead Soup Swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 13 years old (yes/no)

What is/are your favorite color(s)?
What are your favorite colors to use in beading? (You might love purple tees, but have no use for purple beads!)
Favorite metallics or spacer beads? (gold, silver, copper, antiqued gold/bronze, etc.)
What is your favorite type of beads to work with? (glass, crystal, stone, seed, wood, plastic, polymer clay, etc.)

What types of beads do you NOT wish to receive?
What kinds of beads do you have lots of that you'd like to share? (glass, crystal, stone, seed, wood, plastic, polymer clay, etc.)
What kinds of jewelry/crafts do you like to make? (earrings, strung bead necklaces, charm bracelets, junk jewelry, hemp necklaces, tree of life pendants, sun catchers, etc.)
Do you use charms, spacers, buttons, etc. in your beading/jewelry making?

What kind of jewelry do you wear the most?
Do you have pierced ears?
Favorite bracelet length?
Favorite jewelry metal? (gold, silver, copper, etc.)
Do you have any jewelry based allergies? (sensitive ears, etc?)

What are some of your interests other than beading?  (Other crafts, favorite books, favorite movies/music, etc.)
Do you want to include anything else, that perhaps you have too much of, in your swapping?  (For example, do you have WAY too many earring wires or clasps, and want to share some?)
Are you in desperate need of something else, like earring wires or clasps?
Is there anything else you'd like your partner to know about you?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

I wish you all HAPPY SWAPPING!

The Gallery is now up!
Bead Soup Swap GALLERY

Find our original interest thread here:  Bead Soup Swap!

Ok.  In order to make everyone happy shipping wise, and bead wise, you will each be sending to two other crafters, but they MAY OR MAY NOT be the same ones sending back to you.  There just were not groups of three people together who each had beads the other wanted AND were in the preferred shipping locations.  Below you will see your name listed beside a number, then an arrow, and the names of the two people YOU ARE SHIPPING TO.  The way it worked out there were three people who could only ship to chibi neko, so she will be shipping AND receiving three packages.  I will be sending an extra package to cover this, so everyone in the swap (aside from chibi neko and I) will be shipping to just two people.  Double check to make sure your name appears twice in the shipping TO area.  Alert me immediately if it does not!

This sounds like such a fun swap but I'm pretty much depleting my extra bead stash in a current project I'm working on. Good luck to everyone else though! This sounds like so much fun  Grin

I have done a few bead swaps in the past and enjoyed them. Definitely thinking about this.
