I've had this Korn t-shirt for a long time now, and I think it may have been a b-day present from somebody about 5 years ago. I used to wear it all the time, but I've grown out of nmetal and have been trying to recon my nmetal shirts into something cute so I'd be more likely to wear them.

I cut the bottom off the shirt, added a blue jersey knit panel to the bottom of it and sewed it to the top. I did a contrasting blue zigzag stitch for the entire shirt and added a zipper on the side since I had a matching zipper lying around.

(bad lighting...bad hair day.. I'm not a photographer)

Here's the front

Back I had thought about doing the blue all the way around, but I liked the way it looked with a plain black back better.

Side (zipper detal)

Here's the original shirt (this was taken 4 years ago..actually right after I tried out for a metal band that I ended up singing for in 2005...same day I met my boyfriend he was the bass player).  That was my "hardcore outfit" clearly, hardcore=pigtails and a sequin cuff.

Thanks for looking!

I love this! Great design! And I love the blue and black combo. I'm with you, the black back works.

Love the style, I hope you don't mind if I borrow the look to recon some of my metal shirts...  Smiley

BTW, did you just make a tube top with the t-shirt and attach the top band?  That is what it appears to be.

The zipper is a nice touch, and the blue colours are nice. I would love to try and make something like that..
