So I started from plain white merino fleece, and I went all the way to my cactus hat.

I've done all these steps before, but not in the one project.

I was inspired to do as much of the process as I can after going to a back-to-back challenge.

I"ll work backwards in my pics, and "unravel" & "unspin" for you  Wink

The finished knitted hat

I used a circular knitting needle and cast on 60

The handspun with bits & pieces spun in

and extreme thick & thin chunks

I loved how dyig the wool turned out.
Fresh & fushia, but still with a natural feel with the brown & green.

yup, a kind of khaki shade that wasn't too different from the wool.
Didn't want it to be the feature this time

I would love to do a personal swap!  I can sew, knit, and crochet.  I have a 9 year old who loves to do swaps as well so we can do a mommy/daughter swap package. Smiley
