I've sent a few questions to my partner, too. I couldn't help myself, though, and I've started. I have a tutorial for one project almost finished. Tutorials are so much fun!

Then after I get paid next Wed I'll be buying all the supplies! I love to buy supplies for other people. Nobody in my family crafts (other than me, of course), so it's nice to shop crafty for someone. lol.

Yay, partners! I am finishing up one swap by Wednesday, then I can start working on this one, which will be fun and easy to do!

I actually got started on making my instructions today!  I was making some resin stuff for another swap and thought it would be a good time to start on instructions.  Then I went to micheals and realized I had a 40% coupon so I got some stuff!

Um...I guess we should also decide on a size since we can't really decide with our partners since we're sending to a different person than we are receiving from.  Someone mentioned Large size and I know the last round of this I was in we did Medium.  I'm really bad at actually sticking to sizes anyways (I always send way too much) but I do think we should set a size so everyone sends enough.

I found these descriptions of the sizes:
Large: 3 hours or more; $30 or more in supply value, shawl, shirt, project tote, apron, set of pillowcases, set of tea towels, large stuffie
Medium: 2 hours but no more than 3 hours to complete, $15-$30 in supply value, necklace, belt, bracelet, scarf, deluxe pincushion
Small: at least 1 hour but no more than 2 hours to complete, $5-$15 in supply value, pouch, stickers, earrings, bookmark

I know the examples really don't apply here but I was thinking maybe a Medium sized kit and a small sized "example" of the craft.  I don't know...what do you guys want to do?

I would say that most kits will be over $30 in value. I was planning on spending around $50 on supplies and lots of time on instructions and tutorials. I guess it would differ with each craft, though.

I think it definitely differs depending on the craft. For mine, which is embroidery, I can't imagine it being more than $30 for the supplies (floss/thread is like $0.25 each!) but I know I'll definitely put lots of time into it.

Now there's a question - what about if we spend like 3+ hours on the kit but not the same $$? Still large then? Just checking...I mean if we go by $$, I'd say medium with a small crafted item...?

Also - just putting it out there - SO excited about this swap!! Smiley

My kit will be at least $30 and I was going to include a few small items of jewelry as examples.

I have already started on the tut's but still need more info from my partner before I buy supplies....

I finished a small jewelry piece last night to send as an example of the craft, as well as a tutorial of how to make it. That's two tutorials down, five or so more to go!
