Well, if you can't afford it, make it. I love Jan Constantine's creations: they're a beautiful revival of old fashioned British pride (the sun always shines on the British Empire!) but her products COST. And I cannot pay, Jan. I simply cannot afford.

So when Cross Stitcher magazine featured a pattern based on one of her designs, I simply had to make it into a cushion (see my other recent post about cross stitch and cushions to explain my mild obsession with cushions).

I'm really pleased with how this turned out. I was even more thrifty by backing the design on an old pair of jeans, which matches with the feel of the piece nicely, imho Smiley Yay! Enjoy.

Love it! This has been on my 'to-stitch' list for a VERY long time, so I'm happy to see someone got around to it! Love everything you did with it...it's fabulous!
