Not sure which category this goes in, so will put it here.  A while ago my housemate bought me a cheap top from Primark which I was going to use to try and make my own dress form from duct tape but it so happens that I got a proper one for my birthday!   Shocked yay!

So I didn't want to waste it but it was a bit boring so I thought I would do something with it.  I haven't altered the top at all (yet!) as I don't have many long sleeved tops but I did want to jazz it up so this is what I ended up with.

I used the colour scheme of the top and made a cupcake out of felt and ribbon and then beaded it and didn't think that was enough so made some beaded swirls up the shoulder and some more felt hearts/cherries.  I fancy doing more but think that may totally over do it and then I wouldn't want to wear it.  Opinions welcome though!

Here is a close up

i think it's just the right amount of pizzaz! so cute, and of course, the cupcake's adorableness speaks for itself, but I love the beads you used for the sprinkles!

I really really love this! I love cupcakes, both to eat and to use as a theme. You did such a nice job. I'm not sure I'd add anymore, like you said, you'd hate to overdo it and them have a top you wouldn't actually wear.

Mmmm... cupcakes, I think I'm hungry now!

You've done just the right amount in my opinion. It's totally lifted that shirt. Nice job
