Hamster Housewarming?

My sister just moved into a new apartment, and she got herself a new roommate - a black and white dwarf hamster!  I'm making her a housewarming gift, but I thought it would be cute to put in a housewarming gift for her hamster.  I'm not sure what crafts can be made for dwarf hamsters because they're soooo tiny.  Any ideas?

you can make him a little house,
or maybe something like a hanging tube (from fabric)
or give him toilet rolls (not the paper ofcourse,) they love that.

basicly anything he can crawl into will probebly be great.

You can make him a house made out of a small cardboard shipping box and elmers glue. Make sure that the box is not plastic coated, because he WILL chew it up. When you give it to him, make sure to fill it with unscented plain white toilet paper. You can even cut out some holes and put some toilet paper tubes in the holes to create his own little den. He'll love it!

I realize this topic is old, but I wanted to tell everybody how to make an easy and cheap expansion to a hamster cage.

Supplies:
-Plastic storage bin (tall enough hamster cannot climb out!)
-Hardware cloth (ask people at your Home Depot) ; enough to cover a little over the entire top of bin
-Heavy duty scissors
-Tunnel tube attachment
1. Cut hole in side of bin to match tube; insert tube into cage and to bin, to connect
2. Put hamster stuff (Bedding, cardboard tubes, treat, hidie) in bin
3. Cover bin with hardware cloth
4. Cut hardware cloth to go just a little over all sides
5. Bend hardware cloth; try to get as tightly folded as can

Tahdah, you just saved $30 over buying new cage
