I am very sory to have posted that little, but I had problems with internet.
Still have (I am posting this at my parent's place). I hope my package will be received very soon, because I'm very anxious if it will cross the pond safely. I am very excited about what I made. And about what I received Cheesy
I received about 3 days ago, but will post only now, because of the internet issue.
I love what my partner made me. Thank you! It will definately be used!
Photo's:

It is a wrist pincushion (or hand pincushion Wink)
It has a tree on it, very neatly embroidered and with lots of green beads stitched on it.
I think it looks lovely. Thank you! Smiley

It's annoying - stuff from Canada to here is slooow, much slower than from the US to here or from here to either. But I'm not worried, and I'm sure it will turn up :-)

Fingers and toes crossed for Xander's culture and that you like your OTT when you get home!

Beyond customs issues, what I find makes the biggest difference between Canada & the US is whether the sender and receiver are both in what the mail service considers a major centres.  If you are sending from a rural address to a rural address you can expect the maximum wait no matter which country starts the sending process.

I am in a major centre in Canada and last time I sent to a city in the US my package arrived first.
